I just added 5 tiny hermit crabs and several empty shells into my brackish 5 gallon tank with about 75 super shrimp. Do I need to supply food for the hermits. I just purchased micro algae ball but was under the impression that they didn't need to be fed and just ate algae. Please advise. Thanks, Mar...

I did last night before I read your post..I took the angel hair out and it looked like the worm was hiding in the substrata and I believe that I cut it in half and decimated it so that's good. I just received a small clump of angel hair today and put it in my tank...but it did have a small tiny white worm with it which is now in my tank...Should I remove it (if I can, it may be too late) or please advise... Thank you

Thank you very much...So we saw that most of our shrimp had been sucked into the filter side of the tank in the little compartment area. We got them out successfully with a small hose syphon. We blocked all of the holes, took out the filter and now they are happily swimming around in their new tank....

I was so sad because I got up this morning and saw 2 dead and couldn't find any others. Then we saw that they had gotten sucked into the filter (even thought we had covered the top inlet with a fine nylon mesh) there is apparently a small inlet at the bottom of the filtering area.
