That sounds rough!! You probably shouldn't have moved them around so often, unfortunately it tends to be safer to leave then undisturbed until you know exactly what the problem is and how to fix it with minimal disturbance. As for next time, I'd stick to 10-ish to start! And maybe pick up some snail...

Hiding places and fake plants
New shrimp just came! So happy!! I've had a fake plant in the tank for awhile, and when it was just my 2 old timers they loved sitting on it and munching on all the algae. Since the new ones came I haven't seen any shrimp on it, and I'm a little bit worried that it's not a safe plant to keep in brac...

up to 20 is all good in a 0.5 gallon! start with 10 though.

Update: after watching more closely, she does gain a lot of color when undisturbed, but her color is almost purple, with lots of clear bands (not quite like a purple zebrashrimp) When the tank is disrupted at all she turns 100% clear immediately. I guess she's just sensitive :-D anyone else notice a...

Background: A few weeks ago I transferred 2 supershrimp from a bad environment (not ecosphere, but similar setup and effect) into a 1/2 gallon.
