Re: Bug or Worm in Tank
Okay guys, they are EVERYWHERE. It’s literally making my skin crawl. I really need help figuring it out because whatever they are it seems like they are going to come out of the water. Some are on the glass, others are kicking themselves off the gravel and getting to the waters surface in a few seco...

Re: Bug or Worm in Tank
If the body is round, they are just harmless detritus worms. If they are flat, however, that can be bad. Especially if they have a diamond shaped head at one end. They are definitely not snails. Thank you. Upon closer inspection I have like 2 or 3 different pests or they are in different life cycle...

Bug or Worm in Tank
Hello! While I was enjoying my berried mama evict her 7 newborns, I noticed a thin spec of a bug or worm. It’s so tiny I can barely see it without magnification. Does anyone know what it is & if it will affect my shrimp? I’m hoping they are just really tiny snails. I’ve seen them little but not ...

Salinity, Nitrates - Can’t Keep Macroalgae Alive
Hi All! I’ve had my ecosphere shrimp freed for a couple years now along with 10 from Mustafa, snails macroalgae & mossballs. I’ve made mistakes in “upgrading” to a big tank with a filter, added lava substrate and lost 1/2 my shrimp. That was over a year ago. I went back to the basics and haven’t...

Re: Question about a berried female
I try to stay away from feeding while my shrimp are berried but if you need water, try filling a plastic cup, laying it on its side on the waters surface and slowly emptying it. I pick a corner and wait for the coast to be clear. Maybe just put enough water to get by. Best wishes!

Re: Ecosphere Empathy
Just from one enthusiastic person to another, all the changes from the first environment do not help. I moved mine 3x in the same year, trying to give them a better life & lost 1/2 in the process. Scooping them out & dumping them into a new tank is hard on them. Not feeding them is difficult...

Baby Shrimp
I found a mama with just one egg, she had been hiding out, not sure if she dropped the others before or only produced one. I saw her with it for a couple of weeks and then no egg and all my shrimp were accounted for so I was certain she lost it. A couple weeks later I found this little baby floating...

Re: New owner, molting issues?
It is your substrate, I'm 100% sure. I've had my shrimp for over a year that I pulled out of an ecosphere. 6 months ago I bought some from Mustafa to add to what I have (perfect shrimp btw). Everything was going great until I went fancy, got a bigger tank and thought the lava substrate would make th...

Re: Supershrimp mossball reproduction
Here is a baby mossball, you can see the bigger one as a comparison. I'd say it's been 5-6 months since I purchased these from Mustafa. The baby could have been growing already but if it was, I didn't see it.

Do I Need More Shrimp & Snails?
Hello! I upgraded my tank to a 4 gallon 3 months ago or so, transferring in my establish water and adding in fresh mixed water. I waited a couple weeks after that to move my opae ula and snails. I have about 9 shrimp and I think 8 snails (I gave some to my sister so I've lost count) but I'm developi...
