Picked these up at petsmart for .89$ each and they were labeled as Ghost Shrimp.

Edit - Just thought I'd mention that they're thriving in a freshwater tank ;-)

There you go! Finally proof that Palaemonetes paludosus (yes, that's what the shrimp in the pictures are) is sold in Canada, at least at Petsmart! This is the the first time I hear P. paludosus sold anywhere outside the US. This is not surprising, though, as Petsmart is a US company and a large part of their livestock probably comes from distribution centers in the US.

They are a really fun shrimp to keep and very smart. Don't keep them with fish if you want to get babies. There are several threads here on those of us that have reared them. Give it a shot!

Hehe, I've been following your progress and I'm not sure if I'm up to that yet, I do have some of my Cherries that are carrying eggs now so I'll see how that goes before I take the leap into crazy larval shrimpness

What?! Shrimp at your local Petsmart? And for only 98 cents? Another thread mentioned a local Walmart. Where do you guys live, I'm jealous.
When I used to have a fish tank I had to drive to another city to buy them (at a Mom and Pop kind of store), and they rarely ever restocked. I think they were glass shrimp... totally see through.
