Happy Birthday Petshrimp
Moderator: Mustafa
Thanks!
Yes, folks, Petshrimp.com is exactly 2 years old now, and so is the shrimp hobby in the US! The shrimp hobby has grown tremendously over the last 2 years and there is no end in sight. There is still a long way to go, but we have also come a long way. Whereas shrimp-only tanks were unheard of two years ago, now they are the standard setup in most shrimpkeepers' homes and shrimp are not just some exotic looking, but misplaced, "clean-up crew" in a community tank.
This website has done what it was designed to do: to educate hobbyists about shrimp, their care and breeding. It will continue to do so in the future and strive to remain *the* website to go to for unbiased, accurate information about shrimp keeping and breeding; information contributed not only by me but by all the members of this forum. Thanks to everyone for contributing!
A special thanks goes to the regulars, who have spent countless hours asking and answering questions, thereby making this forum interesting and informative. You know who you are!

Happy birthday Petshrimp.com. Although targetting US hobbyists, this website is already famous around the world after two years of existence only. I think you can be proud of it, Mustapha.Shrimp&Snails wrote:

Yep, practically brand new. Nevertheless, Petshrimp.com provided the first English-language discussion forum about shrimp in the world. Everything else came many months later. It was exactly that kind of lack of information about shrimp and recognition of shrimp in the aquarium hobby that convinced me that some change was in order. As a result a brand new hobby (shrimp keeping) was created in North America.badflash wrote:Until now I had now idea that this forum was so new!
