Cherry Reds with Corydoras?

Hey guys, I've been lurking around this forum for awhile now but I never did get round to registering. I'm wondering how Cherry Reds do with Corydoras(albino I think) ? I've had them together for awhile now and my cherry reds just had shrimplets,however, the babies seem to be decreasing in number. (I'm not sure whether it's due to them hiding more or the corydora)

Corydoras eat live food and will see shrimplets as live food.

Give them more hiding places or set up a shrimp only tank for them.

I thought corydoras were in the safe fish to keep with shrimp list along with plecos and otos.

I have personally never observed cories go after baby shrimp. In nature their food consists mostly of food burried in the substrate, such as small worms. However, nothing is set in stone, and if more and more people report that they have actually observed their cories chasing down baby shrimp, then I will have to rethink my position at some point.

My feeling is that it is ok to keep shrimp with a few fish species known to be "safe" for adult shrimp. However, if your goal is to have the most successful breeding, I'd advise keeping your breeding population of shrimp in a tank without any fish.

The best setup for keeping fish and shrimp together would be to always keep a shrimp-only breeding tank to ensure that you always have a surplus of shrimp to add to your fish tanks.

My Cory eat newly hatched brine shimp and chase them where ever they are.
i have no doubt about cory eating shrimplet, even if in the wild their base food are worm in substrate, in a tank i am pretty sure things change.

Truly safe fish need to have modified mouths, like most plecos and ottos. If they have normal fish mouths, baby shrimp are a treat. Bet on it.

Watch "searching for nemo" a couple of times. You'll get it. They may not normally eat meat, but what the heck, its right there....

I had a 10 gal. with 6 adult Sterbai Cory , in with my RCS.
I had more than enough babies.

I myself never seen a cory go after a Shrimp, but, If somethimg is hungry
enough.
It will eat what ever it can find.

I you go by the feeding suggestions of others, so not to create poor water
conditions. " a small pinch " .
There is not alot of food to go around, for NON-SHRIMP, in your tank.
