Here are the pictures of the shrimps I have received recently. I hope you guys will enjoy them. I have resized and cropped every pictures so it should fit in this page without any problem. These are listed as Grade A.

Thank you Mustafa and everyone,
I was supposed to have received this sometime next week. But instead, due to the weather condition, I got them 2 days ago (Thursday) and they were in great shape. One CRS did die though today (very young one). I have to be very careful since these shrimps are super sensitive. Anyway, now I just hope I would be able to breed them myself.

Hi Neonshrimp,

The plants is a foreground plant called (Pearl Weed or Baby Tears) Hemianthus Micranthemoides. It requires high lighting and CO2. Better than Glossostigma elatinoides because they do not wither so easily. Other plants you see in the picture are Bacopa carolina (2nd pic) and Pogostemon helferi - Downoi (1st and 3rd pic). They do not require as much lighting and even without CO2, it will still grow (but grow taller than without CO2).

These are really beautiful shrimp-- I got to see them in person. I am worried though I will be spoiled as they are the first I have ever seen in life.

What sized tank do you recommend for about 10-15 adult CRS? I am thinking about trying to raise these shrimp in small numbers

What percentage of the A grade's offspring are A Grade ?

In another Thread, it was said the S grade, only 25% of the offspring are A grade.

Is this the same with A grade ?

10 gallon and above. As always, the bigger the better.

Hi Newjohn,
From the breeder's statement to me, if grade A and grade A are used to breed together, then the next generation should mostly be grade A. Sometimes, you might get some grade C, grade B, or some that are grade A without the white patches at all, but clear). Also, once in a while you will also be to get some S or higher S grade shrimps. It is when you mix S grade with A grade or SS grade with S grade that the outcome will be different (like Pedro has stated). However, if you do get different grades, you will have to separate them so you will not get the results of lower grades in the future generations. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the information. It will be help when I try my hand at the higher grades.

The selective breeding of Shrimp is some what new to me. Besides the RCS I am trying to selective breed for a fuller Red body.
Most of my Shrimp are the Wild forms and a few Color Morphs.

My interest ,is in the Breeding of the wild Shrimp.
But, I also injoy the Selective Bred Color variations. As do other people.
These selective bred color variations are attractive and are easier to sell,
which helps to fund my real interest.
