I'll take some water samples and leaf litter samples to my lab tomorrow and take a look at what I have growing in my tanks already before I begin adding stuff from my lab into my shrimp tanks.

Good idea, it would not be good if you iintroduce something that will infest or harm your tank. Hope it works out as this might be a good source of shrimp food

Yes of course I will be doing watcher changes and have something that moves the water around.
