Yeah I got five Cajuns from Mustafa as well (one being a male)....TKD wrote:I think that Mustafa has some blue genes in his cajuns as some seem to have a tint of blue, or at least mine do.

The first generation of offspring are just starting to reach adulthood and one or two of them seem to have a much more noticeable bluish tint than any of the others....
I think they are, Mustafa. I know that I have a good 10 or so out of all I've got from you that are quite blueish now that they're over an inch.Mustafa wrote:Honestly, I have never noticed any really blue crayfish in my tanks. If I noticed blue ones I would try to breed them selectively. Maybe you guys got lucky and the crayfish colored out after growing a bit.
You may have a goldmine.

The Cajuns That I received from Mustafa. Are varied in color.
2 are pale brown, 1 is in the Picture, And 1 you might say has a bluish green, instead of black markings.
Not as blue as in my other pictures.
I tried to get a picture of it ,but, by the time I got back with the camera, it was under a rock.
Lesson learned.
Always take your camera with you, when you feed them.

Hmmm..interesting. Well, you can give it a shot and try to selectively breed them to get a blue strain if you want. Then I can buy some of those blues back from you.dismalorb wrote: I think they are, Mustafa. In the meantime I'll pay some closer attention to my crayfish offspring to see if any blue ones pop out.
