I ran across this shrimp for sale on a website, and didn't know anything about it.

I also searched the forum, and still only came up with a few threads.

Is there any info that anyone knows? Such as how big they get, if they prefer acidic/alkaline water etc.

From what I read, it sounds like they stay pretty small, maybe they are a "dwarf" filter shrimp?

Thanks! :-)

They get to be about 5 cm. They should be able to live at a wide range of water parameters as they are quite widespread in the indopacific. They should be similar in all other requirements to other filter shrimp. I've never kept them before, so I can't give you more details at this point.

Thanks Mustafa, I may end up picking up a few of these, although the shipping on the website I found was insanely expensive.

If I do, i'll be sure and keep a log and provide any and all data that I discover. :-)

Search this site for the name of the company. If it is who I think it is you'll just get dead shrimp.

Well, I think its not who you think it is.

I did a search on the company and it turns out good. I'm not sure if I can post the name, but its Frank's.

Frank is fine. I'll vouch for him any day. I did not realize he charged a lot for shipping as I've always picked up from him at shows. Express shipping does cost a lot, as do insulated containers. Even at that though, the shipping does seem a bit high.

I'm thinking these don't ship well and he needs to cover the cost of a replacement as he does provide live arrival.
