Indian Whitebanded Shrimp? - Updated with picture

HI there. Does anyone knows with what shrimp it might hybridize? Is is an Indian WhiteBand shrimp?

Half of them have the lines in the back and I almost sure they are female as one was carrying eggs.

I'm not sure if the shrimp you have is the same as the whitebanded shrimp from India that I have here. There is a similar looking species coming from southeast asia. You might have that one. Either way, I don't know of any other shrimp species that might hybridize with them. As with any shrimp, if it does not say "can cross breed with X shrimp" in the species descriptions, then it means that I either don't know if they can, or I have tried to cross them (for experimental purposes) and they can't interbreed with any other shrimp that I have kept.

Hopefully we can identify them correctly here.
They are very nice and active. They are all in their own tank...I must have around 9 or so.

As these shrimp aren't right in front of me to identify, it would help to know the origin for these shrimp. Are they from India? If not, then they are most likely not the indian whitebanded shrimp. If you got them from someone in Germany, then it might be the shrimp that's called "Caridina cf. babaulti 'Malaya'" there. There are quite a few species with those markings on their backs. Whatever it is....breed it if you can.

NOt sure of the origin and trying to find out. I would try to breed them. Hopefully they do not need a stage in SW.

Please try to breed them, They will be a asset to the Hobby.

Have any of the Females carried eggs ?

The size of the eggs will let you Know.
