Those are HBH crab & lobster bites in photo. I generally feed them before the lights go out in the fishroom. The blue color on her changes. Sometimes she is darker. The color does not appear to be stable(staying the same all the time). It is always blue in one way or the other but it changes from darker to lighter. I would guess due to food, stress levels, tank conditions or breeding colors. Or a combination. I am hoping to fix this and have them stay a more stable blue like the electric blue lobster(alleni).
Time will tell. I will try to post more pics of my other crays.

I have some babies now that must of dropped this week. I tried to take pictures but all I got was blurry babies. They do not really show any color when they are this small. They will have to grow a bit before I know what I have. Here is a pic of one of my males. He is a different blue.Image
I will continue to try my new method of photography.

Hey ERIE,

Maybe counting my crays before they are hatched, but you are an expectant Grandpa!

At least one of my females has little black berries on her belly! I'll get pics when I can. Way cool!

I'm glad my suggestion is working out for you, Jason. :) I shot all of my early pictures that way. By the way, I have quite a few males that look exactly like the one in the picture. I never thought of them as blue though as I am thinking of the blue Procambarus alleni or blue Cherax sp. when I am thinking about blue crayfish. I hope we can achieve such stable blue with dwarf crayfish within a few years.

Mustafa the picture does not fully capture his color. He is actually a bit more blue than picture shows. Not an electric blue but a dark steely blue. He is a male from an earlier group. I no longer use him towards my blue line. Here are a couple more pics. Another one of my blues and 1 new baby. If you squint you may see him.

FISH WORLD ERIE

Very nice.
The Green leaf is a good contrast for the Blue.

I quess we will have to get a little more technical in our discription of "Blue"

Keep Up The Work

The blue is all over the board. It's range is wide. Your first picture is the most intense I have achieved so far. That is the color I am working towards. The other blue I am working on is the ice blue. If one of those comes out I will try to post a picture. I will go down tonight and see what I can snap a picture of.

The one I posted a picture of.
It held that color a little over 1 week. And now it is a Brownish/Blue.

I hope to see little Crayfish soon, My Female is carring her second Batch of eggs.
