Aquarium's less than 2 months old here:

One Cherry Shrimp is visible on the moss-covered rock near the center. Two have eggs, so I'm hoping to add to my current 7 or 8.

I love the stems in the corner. It's such a nice contrast to the open areas. But then again, the look you were going for originally, with just the rocks jutting out of the low plants, would look awesome too. I'd have a hard time deciding if it were my tank.

Maybe you should just get another tank and have one of each...
