I think you are way off base, but if you think I was being sarcastic, you are certainly entitled. If you go back in this post I was not the one that suggested I had freshwater amano. I simply responded to it.

I was thinking that maybe someone knew something about a shrimp that was shrinking, thus the title of my first post.

I sense you are truly angry and I have no clue as to why. I know what sarcasm is. I don't know how agreeing with you can be sarcastic unless I didn't mean it. As I stated before, your scenario is the most plausable. Why do you find it hard to accept I agree with you?

Ok...this is waaay off topic...but how is my scenario most plausable after you added the information that your green shrimp were in a different tank when you bought them? Whatever hitchhiked with the green shrimp would have ended up in their *first* tank...not in the tank they are in now. So, "my" scenario all of a sudden does not sound all that plausable...I think you know that. Despite that, you still add "It seems the most likely scenario." Do you really believe that? If not, then you were being sarcastic. If so, please explain to me how adding the information that the green shrimp were put into a different tank first reinforced/confirmed my "theory."

I was basing my theory on the assumption that you put your green shrimp directly into your amano tank and that's how the baby amano *might* have hitchhiked. Then you tell me that the green shrimp were not put into the same tank as the amanos when you first got them....
You think that changes the situation bit?

Yes, of course I am angry...either communication has *totally* broken down and I am seeing things that are not there, or you are totally denying that you were using sarcasm despite all evidence pointing towards it. See explanation above.

And as for you trying to find out if someone knew about "shrinking amanos".....let's get real here. If you seriously want to tell me that *that* was your original inquiry, then this whole issue is worse than I thought.

This whole thing reminds of the "fairy shrimp are not closely related to dwarf shrimp" discussion (which was a pain) when you first joined this forum....

The written language is imprecise. When I got the green shrimp they were in a tank by themselves. Of course it is possible that a small amano that I never saw hitchiked in with them. I simply had not considered the possibility until you suggested it. Nothing I said was fabricated or meant to mis-direct.

Compared to freshwater spawning amano, which I have not seen happen in over a year, of course the hitchiker scenario is the most likely.

This is like the line from cool hand luke, "what we have here is a failure to communicate".

Lets just forget it.
