Finally got Caridina multidentata

Post by crazie.eddie »

I went back to Aquarium Adventure to hopefully pick up the same shrimps I bought before, as mentioned in my previous post. I picked up 5 shrimp, including 1 with eggs and came home to get a closer look. Apparantely, the shrimp appears to be Caridina multidentata, as seen here....

And as you could see, it appears that there are actually 2 have eggs, as seen here....

So I guess I need to setup a salt tank for the babies, once they hatch. Hopefully I can find them.

Nice looking shrimp. I got some of those recently as well. Hyper little guys.

Yours look blueish? Nice.

I had a thread on blue amanos before. Mustafa says this is due to something thay ate and the color then lasts a life time. He says it is not genetic. Until we breed them, or find the food we will have to act on faith.
