I've seen these before. They normally put bugs, animals, crustaceans, inverts, etc. on treadmills, so they can observe how they walk, sprint, run, crawl, etc.

When scientists/engineers create prototype land rovers for space exploration, they thought these rovers would move around on a rough terrain allot easier if they mimicked nature.

The video is hosted on a web page that doesn't have to load before it plays, it starts as soon as the page comes up (unlike most). It may be alright w/dialup if you try it.
