Yes, I think your "blue genes" are safe now. :-D Lots of people keeping them is the best insurance.

I just witnessed
2 Males trying to mate with 1 Female.

I have never seen this, It has always been 1 on 1.

Has anyone else seen this ?

I have never seen this in my tanks. But it is hard to see what's going on in there sometimes with all the crap I keep in their tanks. I finally moved one of my cajun tanks to eye level so I can see what's going on. They like to climb :D Maybe I will get to see other interesting behavior.

Just emptied another breeding tank. I pulled about 100 crays out of this tank. About 80-90% blue. Took some pics. I will post them soon. Crappy pics as usual

I just love water change day!
I moved 25 baby crays out, and probaby 20 of them are that nice light blue. I also moved out an expectant momy into the grow-out tank so I'll have an easier time with the babies. I also found a bunch of tiny babies that look to have just left momy, but they were too small for me to photograph.

The mother almost looks black, but is actually a midnight blue.

Great pic's, I wish I had a decent camera (and some baby crays to take pic's of).

:D The contrast of the pea gravel helps bring out the crays blue!

I'm also cleaning out a 15 gallon long to change over to pea gravel today. As I was getting everything out my heart stopped. It looked like one of my biggest blues was dead, just rolling as I stirred the water. As it turned out he was on top of a female and oblivious...

Do you consider that crayfish blue? Nice dark color, sure, but blue? Maybe it is just me, but I think blue looks different.
