20 Gallon Long: Low Tech RCS Tank

I decided to move all of my RCS and 4 otos from their planted 10 gallon to a 20 gallon that I had recently moved the fish and snails out of.
I removed the black gravel, silk plants, and decorations out, put in some Eco-Complete, Rotala rotundifolia, Java fern, dwarf chain swordsm, and Malaysian driftwood.
The back of the tank is painted black, glass canopy, AquaClear 20 with a sponge over the intake and a DIY water deflector over the outflow.
I'll be upgrading the filter as soon as I get in the new filter for the 30 gallon.
The light on the tank are 2 flourescent light strips, which gives me about 30 W on the tank.
What a task this has been!
It took me one evening and a morning to get them all moved to the new tank.
I was out of nets, so I had to use the gravel vac, 2 Solo cups, and a turkey baster.
Everyone seems to have settled in just fine, so far.
Yesterday evening, I fed them all bloodworms (frozen; freeze dried foods aren't allowed in my regime) and spirulina flakes.
I'll get some pics up when I can.
I am thinking about moving the otos back into the 10 gallon that will soon be home to the snowball shrimp that I'm getting next week.
If I do that, then I'll move in my ABN juvie with the RCS.

Sounds Great and if I am correct you are also getting some peacock moss

I find that my Ottos are sensitive to changes in environment and have lost two due to moves

. I now try no to move them too much if I can help it.

LOL Yes, I am! Are you the guy that I am getting the shrimp from? LOL

I've moved my otos so many times, I've lost count! They seem to handle it well, and I have never lost one *knock on wood!*. I don't like to move them so much, but I keep an eye on them when I do. All my tanks have the same water, same treatment, etc.

No, I am not the guilty party. However, I did see your Joyful post on the site that was selling them. It is good that they are going to a good and caring home

Oh, I completely forgot that there are some cyrpts in the tank as well. I also have alot of Java ferns left oer from when I planted the 10 gallon snowball shrimp tank that may go into this tank.
