A large part of it depends on the shrimp's mood. Give her a happy home, and she will show her best colors. Supplying foods high in carotenoids will enhance the natural colors.

Buy a high quality spirulina flake. This may take some searching at your LFS. Most foods labelled 'spirulina' actually contain little spirulina.

Powder the flakes before feeding the shrimp.

A lot of people have use LFS. Since I'm new, I'm assuming it stands for Local Food Store?

It is a BGA. There are many kinds.

Check first to see if it has any preservatives. If not, you should be fine. I would pre-disolve the power in water before adding it. It is hard to say how much. Try this: Estimate how much flake food you would feed fish of the same size. Cut that amount in half. Crumble this up as much as possible. Give this much powder once or twice a week. If things go well, you can slowly increase the amount.

What kind of filter are you using? Is there a stong current?

I'm using a Rena Filstar Canister Filter XP3, this current is kind of strong even though it is at the lowest setting.

Then I have a Second Nature Whisper 2 power filter, this current is also set at its lowest.
