This morning I found 3 clusters of CRS eggs ... but I only saw 1 female with no eggs ... any idea why this happens?
The rest of the female shirmps are still holding their eggs. The Japonicas were eating the dropped eggs though.
Cheers

I have no idea why this happens. I have *never* observed clusters of eggs lying around in my tanks and I have never heard about it elsewhere either. The only shrimp that drop eggs in my tanks are the Crystal Red Shrimp....and they only drop one by one..not whole clusters.
Again...are you sure those are shrimp eggs? What are your water parameters? If your PH is too low, it might be the problem. Red Cherries like higher PH (as opposed to other shrimp). If the PH goes too much below neutral the Red Cherries will show stress one way or another.

I'm not the expert, but your params look spot on to me. And .25 PO4 is exactly what you want for a planted tank.
Any chance the eggs didn't get fertilized, and that's why she dropped them?
