It was just eating the old molt, or it was exploring and wound up being a puppet master for a moment :o
I am interested in getting Snowball Shrimps but I only have a 10 gallon up and running. I could also get one of my 29 gallons up and running to house new Snowballs.
Ryan, you can keep it in either one of those tanks and they will do well. They may more readily breed in the larger tanks, as this is commonly reported with hobbyist.

I agree that most (if not all of us do not have the time or expertise to interbreed shrimp) hoping for a new shrimp in doing this is I believe fool hardy several of our shrimp are inbred (CRS) that there exists some problems in the strains, interbreeding would most likely compound problems and really send shrimping off in many directions. Bottom line for me is please do not interbreed. :roll:
