Here is a photo of a particularly "blue" C. diminutus.

Awesome pic, how's the breeding coming along? I'm hoping it won't be too many more years before the diminutus are available to some more of us invert lovers.

FISH WORLD ERIE wrote: Nice pic, it looks like some of my cajuns.
I can attest to this. I just picked up some of Jason's cajuns at an auction yesterday.
There is no other word to describe them other than "blue". I'm serious.

I will be nice if some day this color blue will breed true.

This is one of Fish World Erie's young Crays that I received. It keep this color for almost 1 week then changed back to a Greenish Brown.
The color form that badflash has, is still another interesting coloration. And I am sure there will be more in the near furture.
John

That Diminutus is awesome! The tail looks like it's made of glass! Beautiful pic!

Newjohn, I've seen that color in my tank as well and totally love it! Great pic!

During water changes today one of my F2's were going at it. The males are definitely bluer than the females. The females tend toward brown-grey, sometimes midnight blue, but the males are blue:

Not from these. I have a friend that wanted a sexed pair. This was a no brainer.

If this doesn't look blue to you, get a new monitor or get your eyes checked!
