Could anyone offer me any advice on this --
I was wondering if it's possible to keep M. Assamensis together with M. Lanchesteri. I currently keep two Lanchesteri together with a group of 6 amanos and 6 rasboras. None of these seem to bother each other.
Incidentally, there was one thread on this subject before. It didn't seem to be very helpful though...
Macro species combinations...

Unless you have a huge tank and just 1-3 macros and tons of hiding spaces the M. lanchesteri will end up as either dinner right away or will be stressed out to such a degree that they will die and then become dinner.
Dwarf shrimp actually do much better with macros in larger tanks (in small ones they become dinner/lunch/snacks too). You can even have a reproducing colony of dwarf shrimp in large macro tanks with lots of hiding spaces.
