Mystery Eggs

I found these this morning in my RCS tank...other critters are...5 (3 week old) Betta fry, Ramshorn snail (know what their eggs look like), Pond Snails (jelly sack eggs), trumpet snails (1), some sort of "coin" looking snails (look like TINY versions of ADULT Ramshorn), and last are 3 are of SAE...could these be the SAE eggs? Dropped RCS eggs? These don't look like snail eggs at all...I did have a pair of RCS mate a couple of weeks ago(June 14), but I have looked at the mated one, and have seen no sign of eggs (the one that mated has kinda a purple tint to her), but that does not mean that they ARE NOT RCS eggs.

I need a better picture of the eggs and some sort of scale, but they look like RCS eggs to me. Snail eggs don't look like that. The SAE is too small to breed.

My vote is for RCS eggs as well.

That snail looks like a small ramshorn to me. Not a common ramshorn (the juv's are more round or spherical than the one in your pic) but maybe a Columbian?

These snails are Gyraulus albus, a common snail and eggs look like they belong to RCS.

I'd say shrimp eggs too -- my RCS did that once, drop a clump of eggs right on a plant, and that's pretty much what it looked like.

I'm going to have to dissent and say that they look like siamese algae eater eggs. While I haven't bred these, I have bred some danios and tetras, and that's what the eggs looked like. I guess time will tell.

Thanks for all the replies!

Just an update...the ramshorn snails found the eggs and and ate them all! I have decided to remove most of my snails (have a lot!)...I want to get a Dojo Loach (Weather Loach), so I will keep them in a different tank to feed to him/her.

I hope my next posted question here will be..."what do I do with all these babies", but I will have to wait for that one. *sad*
