Hello everyone i will be getting some red cherry shrimp and i want to know what u guys do in your setups for the shrimp.Dont know a lot about shrimps just started but have kept fish for some time now.I also have 5 amanos (which are doing really good) in a small community but i am thinking of keeping the cherries on their own tank.I will start with a 10gal for the cherries i just wanted to know what filtration to use, subtrate, decor, and any suggestion any of u may have to help.I will be putting some mosses in the tank and some wood and i wanted to know if adding ferts will harm the little guy. Also do i need to add any calcium to the water?
Sorry for just popping up with questions i actually read many articles included all the ones (really good ones) on this site and on many others i just wanted some suggestions from u guys i reasearched but there is nothing better than advice form expert and people that know their stuff. Thanks
You may want to read everything more carefully then before posting again. You just broke a bunch of rules with only 2 posts. Besides the part about doing research you may want to *really* carefully read Rule No. 5.
We are willing to help anyone with their questions, but it is expected that *everyone* follow the rules and do their part *first.*
Sorry for breaking so many rules. Ok I got the cherries yesterday and set up a 15 gallon for them they are around 30. I got them from a very good source they look really healthy and bright red found many babies too. I seeded the filter so the parameters are ok.But i have a question now One of them is missing an eye maybe they were kept with fish and the fish nipped at it.Will it be ok with a missing eye? The tank has some wood lots of moss like weeping, taiwan, and java moss and there are no fish in their with them.Hope I didnt brake any rules this time I read all rules at least 5 times to make sure lol. Thanks in advance i really want to learn from this site.
