Hello,
A situation has come up, where due to building works I have to move my shrimp tank. I will be moving it to another room in the house, where it will probably remain there.
I thought I would post here to see if anyone has done this before or could offer tips on how to do this the best way possible.
My plan is to remove as much water as I can first, then when the water level is low I will put all the shrimp I can find into a bucket which will contain the bogwood, plants and sponge filter. I will then empty out the last of the water double checking for any shrimp.
When the tank is in the new position, I will half fill it with water, add the shrimps, bogwood, plants and filter along with the saved water, then proceed to top up the tank with tap water.
Would this method be ok?
Many thanks
Moving my shrimp tank

Hi Shroob,
First of all how big is the tank? badflash is right about handling a smaller sized tank. I would also try to save as much of the removed water so that you can add it back to the tank after the move. This will help retain the water chemistry and maturity.
Best wishes and let us know how it works out.
