No other pic needed. These are Red Cherries. There is quite a bit of variety in this color morph of Neocaridina denticulata sinensis.

The picture is a real cherry shrimp.

Infact Cherry shrimp will start to lose it color when it been having too many generation of inbreed.

I do not know why people like to add "Red" to the cherry shrimp?

I have cherry, ammano, tiger, taiwan blue, red nose, bulblebee, sand, weird longnose, and weird brown shrimp. The ammanos are the best algae eaters I've found. The red nosed shrimp are a close second, the rest a distant third. The ammanos are so much bigger than the rest they just eat more. None of them seem to eat black/staghorn/hell algae (a red algae) but they all devour any green or brown algae.

I take it all back. They have really coloured up since being in the tank and are now a lovely reddy colour.

Cheers guys for the ID.

What do you mean add red to the cherry shrimp? DO you mean to the name? I guess its just human, they are red and cherrys are red, it just kinda sets in your mind!
