They breed easily, but they're not quite as prolific as cherries. Plus they grow slower, so it takes longer for the new generation to reach maturity and begin breeding.
I was getting back to ID a singular different shrimp in my tank and I'm convinced it's a green. Too bad I only have one right now. Some how it was in my last batch of amanos. It's completely black with a yellowish stripe down it's back. I think I'll try finding more where I picked him/her up and get them breading.
You think you could take a picture of the shrimp and post it here?

Not knowing that it's for sure a green shrimp, I think it'd be best if the pic went in a new thread. There are a few "mystery shrimp" threads already started if you don't want to start a new one though.

i'd love to get some crystals out here in the states, but they're so extremely hard to come by. and even then, it's so $$$. we need more domestic suppliers to drive down the costs here. mustafa and frank are helping us along on that front, and hopefully, sometime in the near future, it will become a reality. cheers!
