The temp is higher than shrimp like, but I don't think it would matter. I would be surprised if any cichlid passed up a nice little snack like shrimp.

YMMV. Try some ghosts first if you can get em.

FWIW - my 2 adult discus (6 & 7" disc) never touched any shrimps I have had in their tank, ranging from cherries, amanos and Macro's. Neither did my clown loaches. Maybe I was just lucky ;)

The temp does make them look different. My Shrimps when in lower temps, their shells do go alot clearer and stuff. In the discus tank their colour darkens (maybe its chemistry as well I havent checked).

GL and let us know how it goes.

(oh ps I have a friend who has 10 amanos in with 10 lake tang cichlids and they all get on fine too..... YMMV ;) thats the key)

I would not put them in with Discus. Sooner or later they *will* become snacks. It's just a matter of time... Even if the adults (at first) don't get eaten, the young definitely will and your shrimp population won't grow.
