CO2
I was looking into getting a Hagen CO2 unit for my 20 gallon tank for my plants. Will the added CO2 hurt cherry shrimp?
nope...as long as the CO2 dosnt get too high. To measure CO2 in your tank take a look at this chart.

The Hagen is a nice system. It does what it's supposed to do. Plant growth using this system is definitely better than when I didnt' have it. I see some of the plants pearling, but not quite as much as with pressurized CO2, like I've seen in stores and others' tanks. For the tank size u and I have, I think it's sufficient and u don't need to move to pressurized CO2.
I think the only down side to all of this is having to buy the replacement packets to keep the system going. Of course, this can easily be remedied if you just hook up a DIY CO2 system (eg, a 2-liter soda bottle) and continue to use the ladder.
