Shrimps good enough algae eaters?

Just wondering in general.. are shrimps good algae eaters for a 10gal tank?

Or do I need to add a few otos?

I currently have about 17 assorted shrimps

No shrimp will eliminate algae altogether. They can contribute towards keeping certain algae species at bay...but I do not recommend buying shrimp to *get rid* of algae.
