help shrimp slowly dieing

Hello i have noticed my shrimp keep dieing after molting.also it is taking them a long time to molt.5 hours sometimes after they go hide and i notice them dead the next morning.this has happend 2 times both after molting i checked all levels nitrate 5ppm nitrite 0 gh soft 75 kh 150 ideal chlorine 0 ph 8.0 ammonia 0.25 ppm the shrimp are blue pearls and they are juveniles and they are in a 10 gal buy themselves. Only 8 now started with 12 please anything helpful !! I hate to see them all die

This is your problem...your tank isn't even cycled. The high Kh just it even worse as ammonium turns into more of the much more toxic ammonia at higher Kh levels. I would recommend researching "cycling" in connection with the aquarium hobby and reading up on every last bit of information on this site and the forum (start with the rules on the forum front page). Ammonia has to be absolutely 0 for shrimp. If you have any kind of dechlorinator that also takes care of chloramines, dump 2-4 times the recommended dose for your aquarium into it. Most likely most of your shrimp, probably all, will die either way, though.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago, I did water changes every other day of about 15% and my tanks seems to have recovered, not sure if this is typical or not though but worth the try.
