Do these shrimp sleep or stop feeding in darkness?
Since the fish are faster and will likely eat the food b4 the shrimp will, could small food be added with the lights off when the fish are less active?
The lfs has some of these shrimp and I've thought about getting them in the past. I'd like to try one in my planted/community 90gal tank.
Thanks for any info!
Should bamboo shrimp (Atyopsis moluccensis) be fed at night?

You can feed them at night. It seems like shrimp don't sleep...I see my shrimp picking at stuff (and filtering) all day and all night. The best way to keep these filter shrimp is to have a current in your tank. The shrimp will sit in front of it and filter the water. They get an astonishing amount of food out of the water that way. I don't ever feed mine because they sit in front of the outflow of my canister filter in my 55 gallon. The canister filter seems to produce a lot of microorganisms for them to feed on.
