Okay... Here's the new home to the new light. After cycling the Sexy Shrimp, the hermits, snails and a few other inverts will find their way here...

After a week (literally!) of anxiety, the berried opae ula made her first appearance in the un-everything 10 gallon tank:

Can't wait for the larvae to be released, Ken!
A ways to go, though.

Look what I found in the original filtered, etc 10 gallon tank a few minutes ago. I didn't even know there was a "full term" berried opae ula in the tank.
There's at least 5 shrimplets. Lots to hide behind in this tank, including live rock and macro algae, so there could be more.

Happy to see larvae. I was getting worried since you didn't have pictures. So if i am keeping track properly you have larvae in the bookshelf and ten gallon but not in the accepted tank. You are feeding the accepted tank every other week.
Also this is the pregnant female you transferred from the filtered ten gallon?

Re: Okay... Gonna try an "accepted" set up.
Yes, Ken. Larvae are now in both the Bookshelf and the original 10 gallon tank.
Still no larvae in the "accepted" tank, and still only 2 or 3 shrimp showing at a time. I've attempted to feed the "accepted" tank, though the food goes ignored. I end up fishing it out. (Food is immediately attacked by the hoards when I feed the other tanks.)
I transferred the berried opae to the "accepted" 10 gallon tank, she's still there, and still berried as of Wednesday.
The one that released larvae yesterday is in the original (filtered, fed (every two or three days) and water changed tank). Unnoticed. I saw something moving in the tank yesterday and it was shrimplets. Haven't seen the mother.

Tonight... Lovely algae (could be diatoms, I guess) in this tank. Everyone seems to like it.

Re: Okay... Gonna try an "accepted" set up.
Congrats on the larvae, Rob, but those aren't shrimplets, i.e. benthic "postlarvae" with legs (miniature shrimp). If the larvae survive, it will take about 2 weeks for them to turn into postlarvae. Your "accepted" setup may take longer to cycle as there were absolutely no bacteria in that tank. Nitrifying bacteria have to cover all surfaces before they can be efficient at turning ammonia into nitrite and nitrate. Until then, your shrimp won't act "normal." Not sure if you mentioned this before in this thread (it's getting long), but some snails will help the process along as snails produce way more ammonia than shrimp.
