mysterious death

Post by thezone »

one of my bumble bee shrimps died today without any signs to why. It looked healthy and all after i moved them to my new house. It didn't change colors and i kept similar feeding patterns and everything. The only difference was i kept them in a container instead of the tank its usually in. The container is filtered, the container is also heated sw what can it be? Also there are no fish and only other shrimps in there.

If the bumblebee container was heated, that could be it since they seem to be sensitive to being too warm. Also, you said "sw"--does that stand for saltwater?

the sw was a typo i keep them all at 25C. They've been fine that way for 3-4 months. The water parametres seem fine 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate ph 7.2. And there are no other inhabitants in the tank other than bumble bee shrimps

As Brad said, maybe it was just an old shrimp.
