Shrimp getting stuck

Hi all just wondering



I got a new 3 gal tank and it has little holes for the filter and pipes in the back of the tank and i am scared that the shrimp might get stuck behind the wall with holes and the back of the tank and die...so anyone have any ideas about how to sogle this problem??? The holes are like the size of a penny to like half. A pencil

Cut up a sponge filter and use the cut up parts to plug the holes. Water will go through but not the shrimp but then the water will behind a wall? If no pictures how about the tank manufacturer name.
