What food do these shrimp really LIKE?

I read on here that they will eat any type of flake/pellet fish food, but is there a particular food these shrimp really like?
Has anyone found a food their shrimp go crazy for?
Or do they really not care?
I have been advised to throw away my decade old goldfish food (does this stuff even go bad?).
Its coming up to a month of owning these creatures (I know I'm only supposed to feed them once a month).
I would like to get them something they enjoy since I have put them through quite a bit (if you're curious, check out the thread I started about lethargic shrimp).

Additional info: tank size is approximately 1.33 gal some rock substrate and a few pcs of coral, 21 relatively happy souls, along with some wispy brackish moss.

I feed NLS foods to my fish. I also feed Omega One veggie rounds and a generic algae wafer to my freshwater shrimp. The opae ula seem to prefer the Omega One wafers. It has kelp and spirulina as the first two ingredients. I think they aren't too picky though.

I'm not saying kelp is a main food for them. I think most find that spirulina is eaten well by them, but they don't really need constantly fed. Just let some algae grow.

These shrimp will go "crazy" for any good quality fish food *if* they are hungry. Shrimp going "nuts" for a specific type of food is not necessarily an indicator of how much they like it...

Hmm, ok I see; good quality fish food.
Currently my vase looks very clear, but I do have some brackish moss.
This takes so much self control not to over feed these little critters.

It sure does. It helps to just put in the next date of feeding in some calendar two weeks from now and just forget about it.
