I recently discovered pet shrimp from Aquabid The order was really superior to other online purchases of the same species
Today I placed another order and stupidly did not read the the parameters for super shrimp. So I quickly sent a litter to replace the order With amano shrimp.
Now I'm looking Into prepping a 12gal planted edge tank dismantle it and set it up for super shrimp it states it takes 3 weeks to cycle not to use aquirium salt . Ok
Question 1 what live plants are good choices ?
I intend to start with 10SS and the specialized brackish algae sold on pet shrimp site
A purchase of a salinity refractor meter
What is the best choice in salt additive ? ( at 50%)
I am going to use crushed coral as a supvtrate mixed with white sand
Any setup tips greatly appreciated
I really want plants so those that have plants
Lighting requirements of brackish plants are they lower in par?
Plants suitable for super shrimp 50% brackish water

Hi Joel! Welcome to the forum!
I recommend reading the following link first in case you haven't already...especially the "set up" section:

Question 1: There are no commonly available plants besides the macroalgae and the mossballs I'm selling here that grow at such salinities. Forget about all the freshwater plants that various websites say can be grown in brackish water. Some, like java moss, just stay green for a long time...but they are die and say dead...just dead and green.
As for salt, any reef/marine salt from the major brands will do. I've used several myself in the past and they all work just fine.
The lighting requirements for the two plants I'm selling are extremely low. I still recommend having adequate lighting, but these plants do just fine even in low light situations. Let's see some pictures once your new tank is set up.
