My first berried female

Post by seth »

I am very excited. Finally a pregnant female. When I first set up my 3 gallon tank I was running a sponge filter. Even with very slow bubbling my shrimp seemed to hide. I decided to finally listen to Mustafa's advice I had been reading in other posts and removed the filtration. Shrimp immediately seemed more happy and now reproducing.
Moral of the story-listen to Mustafa's advice!

That's great news! I too removed my filters after I was happy bacteria and algae started to bloom in my tank, squeezed the filter in the tank and removed it. Hopefully it will be ready to add shrimps soon. I want to move some from my main tank.

Do you have any photos? I love seeing others tanks.

Congrats Seth! :) Let us know if she holds on to the eggs and if/once the larvae hatch.
