A quick Google search and this is one of the photos.
Read about it and most say that they are extremely hard to breed in captivity. I wonder how long their lifespan is?-

Not very purple. I was hoping for Minnesota Vikings purple. I am guessing a low order shrimp. Brackish to full salt for larvae to survive.

Ok, I'm a few months late (and will eventually move this to the general shrimp forum but answering here for now) but I've had "purple zebra shrimp" before. They are a Potamalpheops species...not sure if anyone has conclusively figured out which exact species yet. In any case...I was keeping them in freshwater and I even had larvae (which didn't make it). They are not like the Supershrimp/Opae...they need regular food and are kept like other "normal" shrimp.
