Been there, done that, it was a diasater... Tanks are doing much better without any feeding. If I feel there is a lack of nutrients, then I will feed... But out of my two tanks, one is reproducing non stop.
The other one still needs to get stable. It had a massive cyanobacteria issue, and after that was taken care of, a massive reproduction of snails.
There is some hair algae on it, but not much. I moved hermie and one nerite to that tank. Hermie sometimes feed on the snails, so he definitely doesn't need extra food... As for the shrimp, there is plenty of nutrition to go around.
