Is this good algae?

Post by erica »

Getting ready to stock my shrimp tank now that shipping can be a thing soon. I'm wondering if this is good algae or if I should be scrubbing it off and changing the gravel.

(the shrimp I have now is in the ecosphere, but it's opened and I add distilled water to replace evaporation and there's a bit of the macroalgae from the Petshrimp store in there too now. I'm hoping he lives to get into the tank once it's ready.)

This part is weird. I dunno what to do about that.

If this is good algae, then there's plenty of food for shrimpies.

I'll probably be taking out the big blue plant out as it doesn't quite fit.

The surface algae looks like Cyanobacteria. I would remove it.
