How can I tell the difference between male and female shrimp ??
Re: Sexing Opae ula
Fully grown females are considerably larger than grown males, but I've now had females no bigger than fully grown males bear young.
When I first received shrimp from Mustafa, I could tell them apart, but now that I have all generations present it is difficult.

Yes, I've noticed that generally, too. I currently have a smaller female carrying eggs that is a light as the males of the same size, though.
Bottom line--difficult to sex.
