Cloudy water??? HELP!

I saw Fred!!! I just hope he is okay. So the guy at the petstore said to give my 2 Nerite snails cucumber and romaine...which I did. Now the water is very cloudy and the snails are out of the water at the top of the aquarium. I just added some fresh water (same PPT) to dilute...did I see Fred because I just totally screwed up the water??? HELP!!!

Nerites sometimes leave the water, it's a normal thing for them, so that alone doesn't mean there is a problem. That said, I would test the water if its possible for you, see if ammonia is present and such. Cloudiness on its own doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem.
