Anybody experience with Caridina nilotica

Post by Polypterus »

Hello !
I have some simillar (I guess it's C. nilotica) Shrimps - they have from time to time young larvae - but the larvae survive just a few days. Anybody who can tell me how to handle the larve, if can put saltwater in the whole tank (OK for the parent shrimps) or should get out the larvae and put in a tank with brackish or salt water ???
thanks, Florian

First of all...how do you know those are Caridina nilotica? Second, you can go search for breeding reports for C. japonica. If you have tiny free-floating larvae, their care should be similar to C. japonica.
