Well it could have been a lot worse. I am just glad this happened before I got the shrimp.
Could you imagine trying to get them all out from the inside cavity in order to dry it out and reattach?

Gorgeous tank. Love the multicolors and that its a tall tank. My next one is definitely going to be a tall tank.

Have you ordered your shrimp?Fiore de'i Liberi wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:09 pm Disaster strikes! The coral glue I used to secure the piece to the back wall has failed. With only 2 weeks remaining until I was going to order my shrimp this happens...
I have completely taken the tank apart, cleaned it, and re-secured the back wall to the glass with a massive amount of GE Silicone 1. I am going to wait about 2 weeks for a 100% cure, then rinse the whole set up. Looking like 6 or 7 weeks until I will order some shrimp now.
I noticed that many people use shells in their tanks, do these add any benefits?

The tank is still cycling. A shell can add small amounts of calcium to the water, but mostly it just gives them a place to hide should they want to.Flippers wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 6:36 pmHave you ordered your shrimp?Fiore de'i Liberi wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:09 pm Disaster strikes! If they are natural and not painted with colors, they should be fine.

That's fine as long as you make sure to clean any organic material out of them so they don't decay in your tank.
