Wow, finally! That's great news. 63 days is a really long time, and it's neat to know they can still hatch after such an extended incubation. Congrats on your new shrimp babies! Send us some pics if you can

Thanks! I'm pretty excited too! I've been trying to get some pictures but don't have a magnifying glass so it's just a blur because they're too tiny. Unfortunately my phone can't focus on them. But once I can, I'll definitely post some pics!Super Jess wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 3:28 pm Wow, finally! Congrats! Here's to more to come!

Thanks! I got 6 from that one!
Actually, right after, I found another berried female that had about 20 eggs! Unfortunately, I think she lost all of them. I've been monitoring everyday and I think at one point it decreased by half and now I don't see any.. So either she's hiding extremely well or they're all gone as I've been staring for a few days now and nothing

Over 60 days seems unusual. Are you sure you didn't observe two different shrimp over the span of 60+ days? People have multiple berried shrimp without realizing it quite frequently as the berried females can be good at hiding from view so you just see one at a time. But yes, temperature does affect the number of days larvae need to develop.
Re: Berried female not producing larvae?
Nope! There was definitely just the one. I have 6 babies swimming around now. I think it's because my heating in the house is terrible and it's always cold (except for now because it's summer). During the spring time, it was still cold where I live so it definitely took longer, hence I thought my shrimp was having issues not producing larvae. But once it got warmer, they hatched so woohoo!
