See ‘new plant’ in tank

Post by JoeG »

Has anyone seen a plant or algae like this? I started the tank last November 2017 and have seen this little guy for the past few months. It has grown a little but not much since I first noticed it. I had a small Marimo ball in the tank the first couple of months but then removed it. Do you think this might be a part of the Marimo that was left behind and is growing? That was the only plant that was ever in the tank. The tank has been running for 8 months now and everything is going good with the shrimp. No babies but they are very healthy and lively.

Looks like remnanta of moss ball. Could be some macroalgae that tagged along if you got shrimp from Mustafa.
