Tank temp of 19 for opaeula, is that ok?

Post by deedee71 »

Hi

My 12 litre tank for the opaeula is in a very cold room so I have a 10 watt heater in there that is warming it up to 19 degrees Celsius. Is that warm enough for them? Or will they uncomfortable? Without the heater it is ten degrees Celsius.

That is certainly a cold room, but yes 19 degrees is fine for them. That said, I can't help but worry that in a tank without circulating water some of the water could get too hot. It might be better to find a way to raise the temperature of the room, even 14 degrees Celsius would be warm enough as they are quite adaptable.
