SICK SHRIMP?! HELP!!!!!

Post by Cakelake »

Hello, I noticed this little guy in the tank today and that he has these white things on his underside. Is he sick? It kind of looks like ick. Hopefully the photos are clear enough, my phone cameras not great. Thank you in advance for your help.

Maybe isolate it, in case it's bad mold, before experienced users of this forum can answer you better.

Odd, can't say I've ever seen anything like that on any of my shrimp. Is the effected shrimp behaving oddly/sickly?

No, the shrimp is behaving normally, just swimming around the tank. Could it be a bad molt like Marianne suggested?

Marianne said "mold" (as in "fungus", the organism) not "molt." Just a clarification. It does look like some kind of fungus. Did you put any live rock or live sand in your tank? If so, you may have brought in some pathogens with it. I have never seen anything like this on Supershrimp.
